Christopher A. Ford

Christopher A. Ford, a former New Atlantis contributing editor, is the senior director for weapons of mass destruction and counterproliferation on the U.S. National Security Council. He is also the proprietor of the website New Paradigms Forum.

He previously worked in various positions on Capitol Hill, including as Chief Legislative Counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations. Before that he served in the executive branch as U.S. Special Representative for Nuclear Nonproliferation, as a Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for arms control, nonproliferation, and disarmament verification and compliance policy, and as a reserve intelligence officer in the U.S. Navy.

He is also a former senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, where he directed the Center for Technology and Global Security.

Mr. Ford is a graduate of Harvard College, Oxford University (as a Rhodes Scholar), and Yale Law School.
